After a messy breakup Fresno is looking to extend its partnership with the SPCA.

The SPCA was unhappy about spending a million dollars of their own money to provide animal control for the city and Fresno officials criticized the SPCA for euthanizing too many animals.

It was settled that October first was the deadline to transfer animal control services. Fresno officials have been unable to come up with an alternate solution.

So now, both sides are working on a six month extension.
