Caltrans Easing Bottleneck

If you've driven it, you probably hate it. Highway 180 between Highways 168 and 41 is no fun.

Caltrans is working to clean it up. They're building new connector ramps that will be dedicated to only one direction of travel.

That should lower the number of accidents in the area and eliminate tricky merges. The project should be completed by August of next year.

The project is funded by Measure C; the half cent sales tax hike used to fund transportation projects. By the time the tax expires in 2027, it will have raised over $1.5 billion.
