We Are Fresno Press Release

July 29, 2010 Updated Jul 29, 2010 at 12:56 PM PDT

(Fresno, CA) --- Fresno’s NBC Affiliate and the Central Valley’s first television station, KSEE24 is launching a major campaign to highlight
past and present people, places and events that make the region exceptional. It will begin on January 26, 2010

It begins with a series of image commercials that feature notable Fresnans with examples that showcase the market as a culturally and
geographically diverse region of California. We want to show this is an area rich in history and tradition and one which offers big city
amenities with small town ease. The messages will be seen on KSEE24 along with its WeatherPlus and LATV networks.

But this is not just a promotional campaign. The KSEE24 news department will produce weekly vignettes featuring positive stories from
around the Valley. KSEE24 is also taking this initiative on the road by broadcasting live newscasts from communities around the Valley
and by producing the station’s popular live and local talk show, Central Valley Today, on location as well.

“This is a complete station effort.” said Matthew Rosenfeld, KSEE24 President & General Manager. “From the beginning, the momentum
at the station was contagious. Every department at KSEE24 is excited and proud to be a part of this initiative.”

Not only will KSEE24 use the airways to broadcast positive messages and enlightening stories, it will utilize its website, KSEE24.com, to
post all the elements of the campaign. Fans from across the Valley or around the world can access the material. Viewers are encouraged
to share their comments and perspectives on the website and also upload their favorite images using the YouNews™ feature of the site.
KSEE24 viewers may even see their photos and video featured during newscasts.

During an interview for this project Mayor Ashley Swearengin commented, “This is really a renaissance time for our community. We're
getting back in touch with who we really are. We have so many amenities that many cities our size across the country would kill for, yet we
have them all within reach." All KSEE24 elements, both on air and online will be consistent with the Fresno Brand Platform released by the
Convention and Visitors Bureau last year. Swearengin added “If people really understand what that brand platform lays out, they'll be very
proud of what's going on to perpetuate that image of Fresno."

The President/CEO of The Fresno City and County Convention and Visitors Bureau says, “People often look for travel experiences they
can’t get anywhere else. Second, cities that have strong brands and images are desirable destinations. Both of these are very doable and
we should be proud of our past and embrace the future.” Jeff Eben goes on to say, “Our region is taking ownership of its image and telling
our story all over the world. We at The Convention and Visitors Bureau are proud of the effort we are doing in branding and thank KSEE
24 for its support, direction, and willingness to help us spread the word.”
