Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad Steamming Down in November

Train buffs in the Central Valley only have until the end of November to ride the historic railroad near Fish Camp. Every year as the weather in the Sierra turns cold, Owner and Chief Engineer, Max Stauffer, steams down his two antique Shay locomotives and closes the railroad until the warm weather returns. "Iwish I could run all year, says Max, but the heating and contracting of the locomotive boilers in cold weather is just to hard on them given how old the are."
For more information KSEE 24 personnel can call Max at 559-683-7273.
