OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES




The “KSEE24 Why Do You Love Fresno Contest” starts on April 18, 2011 and ends on May 16, 2011.  The contest is sponsored by KSEE Television Inc. located at 5035 E. McKinley Ave. Fresno, CA 93727.It is also sponsored by the Educational Employees Credit Union and Eye-Q Vision Care which is located at 7075 North Sharon Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720



ELIGIBILITY:  The contest is open only to legal residents of Central San Joaquin Valley DA (which includes the counties of Fresno, Madera, Modesto, Merced, Tulare and Mariposa). Entrants may be any age, but only a high school student will win the $524 grand prize. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.



HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. To Enter, (1) Go to ksee24.com. (2) Click on the “contests” link. (3) Click on the “KSEE24 Why Do You Love Fresno?” link. (4) Click the “Submit Now!” tab. (5) Create a FREE YouNews account by entering a username and password. (6) Upload your video or photo showing what you love about Fresno.



PRIZES: One high school student will win the $524 grand prize along with 2 Grizzlies Tickets to the June 3rd baseball game and 1 local gift card valued at $20-35. 24 other winners will each win 2 Grizzlies tickets to the June 3rd baseball game along with 1 local gift card valued at $20-35. The gift certificates will include one of the following:  three (3) from China Bistro located at 2021 West Bullard Avenue

On May 16th, 2011, CART (Center for Advanced Research and Technology) students and KSEE24 employees will choose the grand prize winner as well as the other 24 winners. Winners will be chosen based on the creativity and content of their videos and photos. On May 19th, there will be a finale event at KSEE Television Inc. located at 5035 E. McKinley Ave. Fresno, CA 93727. The ceremony will be held to congratulate the winners and distribute prizes. Winners don’t need to be present to win.



KSEE Television Inc. reserves the right to substitute, add or change prizes prior to the contest period with prizes of comparable value.  All prizes are subject to the rules of the prize donor. All applicable taxes including federal and state income tax are the sole responsibility of the Winner and may be reported for tax purposes as required by law.  The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize and paying any expenses associated with any prize which is not specifically provided for in the official rules.  Each winner must provide the Sponsor with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before prize will be awarded. The Prizes may not be sold or transferred. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.



CONDUCT and DECISIONS:  By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Company personnel.  Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified.  Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited.  The Sponsor will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules of the Contest and the Sponsor’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final.  If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Sponsor, the Sponsor reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the Sponsor deems appropriate.  All decisions will be made by the Sponsor are final.  The Sponsor may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion.  



WINNER SELECTION:  Winners who enter the contest will be chosen by CART students and KSEE24 employees. A high school student will win the grand prize. The contest period will run from April 18th-May 16th.



AFFIDAVITS:  Except where prohibited by law, prize acceptance constitutes permission to use Winner's name, address, images and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion in any media, including on-line worldwide, without limitation or further compensation.



RELEASES AND GENERAL CONDITIONS:  By entering the contest, participants:  (a) grant the right, but not the obligation to KSEE Television Inc. and assigns, to use the name, voice and/or simulation thereof, and/or any portion of the undersigned individual or individual with others, on (Video tape) (Film) (Internet) (Photograph) (Audio tape) in, and in connection with promotional or commercial announcements, news or entertainment programming.  Furthermore, KSEE Television Inc. may use and re-use the above material in perpetuity, without restriction to the number and type of uses, and without compensation of any kind, and (b) agree that by submitting an entry, they irrevocably authorize Sponsor and its designees to use and broadcast his or her name on the air without compensation or breach of any rights of publicity under the law (c) to be bound by the Official Rules, (d) all decisions of the Sponsor shall be final and binding, and (e) that the Sponsor, its parent and affiliate companies, their advertising or promotional agencies, and their respective officers, directors, attorneys, agents, and employees are not responsible for and shall not be liable for (1) any design, printing, typographical, or other errors, omissions, deletions, or defects, in any material associated with the prizes or Promotion; (2) illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, late, lost, postage due, undelivered, or unprocessed entries and all other matters associated with on-line entries.  These Official Rules will be posted KSEE24.com and at the KSEE24 Broadcast Center located at 5035 E. McKinley Ave., Fresno, CA 93727.



PRIVACY:  Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Promotion’ entrants through Entry Forms, in accordance with its privacy policies.
