Fresno Rugby winning the Pacific Coast Playoffs 2011

Fresno Rugby #1 team in the Nation!

Fresno Rugby is in its 40th Season! In the past 3 years we have helped develop rugby for men and women at Fresno State, and this year developed youth rugby at 5 local high schools. This season the clubs' 40th, saw Fresno win back to back Northern California League titles (2010 and 2011), and go on to win the Pacific Coast Playoffs. Fresno (15-1) is now the #1 rugby team in the National Sweet 16 which starts this weekend May 21st at the USA Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Fresno Rugby has returned to being a national rugby power as it was in the late 1990's (as it made it to the National Final Four in 1999 and 2001). Over the years Fresno has had a number of international players come to play in Fresno. Over the past 3 years its had two different players return from New Zealand to play in Fresno because they loved their time in Fresno. Now that’s a love for Fresno, and we all love Fresno Rugby!
