I started to foster golden retreivers a few years ago. Andy came to us and I fell in love. Took him to the vet and he was heartworm positive. He went to the rescue and had his treatments, then came home and got through the rest of his confinment. Out of the hundred goldens we fostered, Andy was the only one that our other golden would play with. Now that we have a child, Lucas, Andy has been Lucas's best friend. Andy follows Lucas around all over and visa versa. We have learned that when we are outside, if we want Lucas to come to us, that we need to call Andy, then Lucas will follow Andy. We couldnt have asked for a better dog to be with our child.
