My name is Tonya, and I believe I deserve this backyard makeover more than anyone because I have been through it all. You could say I have a green thumb, and I love my yard. Unfortunately, my health conditons, along with frequent dialasys treatments, have made it almost impossible for me to keep my backyard as beautiful as it once was. This is my story. When I reached the age of thirty, I was diagnosed with renal (kindney) failure. I have been through two kidney transplants, and recently I just lost my fourth kidney. The last kidney transplant didn't go so well. They actually had to attatch my kidney to the abdominal aorta, which is located near the heart because my renal artery was too clogged. This is only one of my many surgeries. Due to clogged arteries, I have undergone what's known as an axial femoral artery bypass, where they basically replaced my artery in both legs. I have also had brain surgery known as nocardia cranionamy, in which I had to re-learn everything all over again. About ten years ago, I was diagnosed with skin cancer. Besides all the laser treatments, I had recently had a cancerous growth removed from my spine, which was actually infected with ecoli. I have also been through several other possibly fatal infections. I guess you could say, I have as many lives as a cat. I have faught and faught to enjoy my life to the fullest, and enjoy spending time with my husband and four sons. Please, give this backyard a makeover for the woman who has been through it all.
