17 years and no grass grows

38th time's a charm, right?

Since we bought our home in Tulare in 1991, we've never been able to establish a lawn in the back yard. We've tried seeding and reseeding time and again, so much so that we've lost count (it's definitely been over thirty times). After 17 years, we (and our two dogs) would really appreciate a lawn out back. It looks like high desert and is very uninviting.

I know exactly how you feel every year whacking the weeds down and rototilling. i am now hearing because i have hardpan that i probalby need to bring in soil and rototilling it in. Laying sod would be the next solution, expensive having a large yard!
