These are two of the five fires that I can see burning in my area.

Fires in the mountain area.

I live in Bass Lake and I can see five fires burning all over the area that I live in. I am told that there are people being evacuated as of today. I can see all of the forestry fire trucks driving past my house.

We now have brought in firefighters from all across the U.S. to help preserve the forests. They are subsisting on bag-lunches, perhaps the media, by properly pitching this can help get decent food and supplies to our heroes. Many are from Fresno area

All local Fresno T.V. stations carried exquisite coverage of B'dog winning and shockingly appalling coverage of the natural disaster fires raging in our local forests.. I have heard that the hundreds of fire fighters desperately need personal items.

As of right now there are 48 rescue trucks, and emergency vehicles at the Ponderosa Basin Fire station. A huge Thank You to all that personnel! Still smoke and ash around the air. We have not been told to evacuate as of 8pm monday.

I live in Ahwahnee, fire is 1-2 miles NW from my home, but I cant get any info/fire status. LOCAL news media hasnt taken any interest in these fires. No homes lost so no interest? No mention of fires except up north! So much for local news.

I'm in the Ponderosa Basin, Mariposa. We've got a fire to the east, the Ahwahnee area and one right between us and Triangle Road. The air is heavy with smoke this morning, 7am, and light ash is falling.
