Laurel was adopted by the Cervantes Family after a very tramatic life that left her with only one eye and homeless at the SPCA in Pleasanton, California. Laurel was known as an escape artist and had fled from many homes according the the SPCA. Laurel was nursed back to health and is very much an important part of the family. She has lived happily with the Cervantes Family for one year. Many may have seen Laurel on television as she was filmed for a commercial on the Discovery Channel to solicit donations to help abused animals.
On 4th of July, Laurel slipped under a newly constructed fence from our home near the Island Waterpark in Fresno. It appears the the fireworks spooked her and despite our best efforts to calm her, she escaped. Our family and friends have spent hours looking for her. There have been ads in the Fresno Bee, Flyers posted within a two mile radius, postings on several websites and every other day visits to the Fresno SPCA. The family is devastated and desparate. We love this dog beyond description and need the community's help to return this formally abused dog to her loving adoptive family. We will offer a REWARD for any information that leads to her recovery.
Any one with information or any good samaritan who may be carrying for her please call 559-275-6799 or 559-916-7015.
