My name is Sergio Rodriguez. I am a walking miracle. I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and end-stage cirrhosis of the liver in 2000. By May 2001, I was fighting for my life. There was little chance that I would survive being on the "Transplant List." So on June 5, 2001, I underwent a new procedure called "living donor transplantation". This is where someone living donates a portion of their liver. My niece, Gabriela Lopez, was that someone. The operation was a complete success! To this date, we are both doing very well. Because of this, I am alive today. I have continued my career as an elementary school teacher, and I'm making difference in my students' lives. Deal or No Deal, I am ALIVE!
