I'am son. I' am a student. I' am a filmmaker. And here is a sneak peak into a story, a life, a dream. I' am Michael Vitela.
My parents have disable since I was little. My siblings and I have supported my parents ever since I could remember and now, with my older siblings out of the house, I' am the last standing financial contributor. I somehow manage to balance being a full time student, working 40 hours a week, and pursuing my passion of film-making, while also working with at risk youth at my church.
Up and till now, I have put my family's needs before my own, even to the point of pointing my dreams on hold. Being a filmmaker myself, I have often wonder why, "Once in a lifetime chances" only take place in the movies. But now I feel its about time I write my own ending.
This opportunity gives me that once of a lifetime chance to fulfill all my commitment to family, and finally pursue my dream on the silver screen.
