Our Family

Our Family Needs a Home!

It was last year, wow, already a year, my water broke and I was only 33 weeks pregnant. We were already in a financial struggle, and the baby was coming. I checked into the local hospital here in Selma, but they did not have to proper equipment to take care of a baby so premature. They told me that my baby would be taken to Palo Alto, the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. I was in a panic! Luckily they decided I wasn't far along enough to deliver just yet and I was flown to the hospital in Palo Alto to deliver. My daughter would stay there for the next couple of weeks. We couldn't afford to stay up there with her, my husband had to work, but we visited as often as we could, it was quite some time away though, I would have to leave her on Wednesdays, and wait til Monday to see her again.
We lost our home, we couldn't afford the rent anymore, I wasn't working, and my husband's hours had been cut. So we moved in with my sister-in-law, I felt awful, because my daughter's first home wasn't even our own. It was a crowded bedroom shared by myself, my husband, our son, and our new baby girl.
We eventually saved enough money to move into an apartment, but we need a better home for our kids. A better home for our babies!

Thank god for your sister-in-law a lot of people don't even have a family member that would have a family of four move in.Good thing she was there when you could not afford a place to live for your kids.I wish I had family like that.
