From the coin toss to the last hurrah from players, coaches and fans this was a game then not a game and then, finally a victory over a PAC-10 team on a tough road to recovery.
In the third quarter down by six points in sweltering 100 degree heat the Red Wave did what they are famous for; "The Wave". From one end of the Dog Pound to the other, again and again the "wave" continued.
As the Bulldog wave in the stands stopped, a breeze came up to cool the temperature and the tide turned in favor of the Dogs on the field as they recovered a fumble. The rest is now truly history.
If you doubt my account, I was there; did the wave, felt the breeze and saw the Dogs pull out a win. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
