Looking North toward Yosemite, 8am

Most Snow So Far

Last night, with the temperature already below freezing, we received the greatest snow pack so far this year at the 3100 foot elevation level north of Oakhurst. The earlier snow falls built up over a layer of ice/slush. After having shoveled my drive (for the second time in a three days) the snow started to fall in the dead of night and continued until morning, leaving 2.5 inches of the white stuff for me to shovel again. I'm beginning to understand why people in the snow belt don't enjoy the snow like we do.
