Church driving us crazy

My family and I have lived in our home for twelve years this November, and we are now going crazy because of the church behind our home. About three years ago they decided to build a huge gymnasium behind our house. They have bands there every weekend and basketball games during the week. The building is not very well insulated and they have a very loud sound system. We have tried talking to them and asking them to tone down the bass and the noise because we can hear it in our home. We have no peace. I now have a five month old daughter. Our bedroom and our living room are in the back of the house. We cannot even watch tv or eat family dinners without the loud music and noise coming from the church. They are supposed to be Christian people who believe in "love thy neighbor" and stuff like that, but they don't care about anyone but themselves. We have filed complaint after complaint and called the police many times. All we want is our peace of mind. We are literally going out of our minds. It is not only a nuisance, but it is affecting our mental and physical health. What can we do? We own our home, and it's not like we can just leave everytime they want to get loud. Help us!

So, you would go to church five out of seven nights instead of spending time with your family? Saturday's is a biker church, and we are not welcome. Youth group isn't as bad, but when I went to church it wasn't about basketball, it was about God!

You should go join in their activities rather than complain about their actions. You never know, you may find that you'll have fun and make new friends.
