Hogan was about to get down. He was on the right side of the fence with paws half way down the fence below the cross beam. Then he heard a noise in the backyard neighbor's yard. So he climbed back up, did a half circle in the corner, then did the splits. He wasn't sure if he still wanted to get down or go toward the noise. So funny. I just happened to have my camera at the time. This was not the only time I saw him do this.
He is a crazy love nut at times. He stands on my lap, purring, kneading, meowing loudly, looking up at me when I hug him, doing head butts, kisses on the lips and tries to knock all kinds of things off the desk. He's crazy. I sometimes call him my Wookie Kitty because he'll make these love noises that sound just like the Wookie from Star Wars. He makes all kinds of silly love sounds.
My cat Hogan, trying to make up his mind

I named him Hogan because he was the biggest kitten of the litter. He reminded me of Hulk Hogan, the WWF wrestler, with his size, and his orange fur reminded me of Hulk Hogan's tanned skin.

Then it took 3 more weeks to put muscle back on his bones. He is the biggest, most loving and easy going of his 6 brothers and sisters. So I'm so glad to still have him.

Then in March of this year, 2009, he got really, really sick again. We thought it was a recurrance of the pancreatitis, but it turned out to be an E. coli infection in his bladder. It took him a month to get better with treatment.

As a cat with hypertropic cardio myopathy gets older, the heart becomes thicker and less able to pump blood correctly. So they are not likely to live a long life. Luckily his case is mild. He was also diagnosed with asthma, which is also mild.

At the time he came down with pancreatitis, the vet discovered he also had hypertropic cardio myopathy. That is a heart murmur where the there is a thickening of the heart which makes it harder to pump the blood.

He spent 6 days in the hospital on IV anti-biotics. He became juandiced. I've never seen a yellow cat before. It took him a whole year to get well and get his personality back.

Hogan has given us a good scare with illnesses in his short life, so I feel very grateful to still have him. He's 7 now. In January of 2006 he came down with pancreatitis. He got really, really sick and was close to death.
