Buzz is my star child. Everybody thinks he's so beautiful. He's a Himalayan. He can't help it.
He came to us, along with his half brother, from our next door neighbor. Our neighbor brought home two kittens for his young sons, but the boys were only there 3 days a week and my neighbor was hardly ever home, so as soon as the kittens were old enough to climb the fence, they moved in with us. THEY adopted US! LOL
Since they had been kept outside all the time, they didn't know how to use the litter box. They would see my cats coming in the kitty door, so they started coming in the kitty door too..........only they would go to the bathroom on my family room carpet!! Yuck. And Buzzy had diarrhea from the worms he had. So I taught him how to use the litter box. I treated him for the fleas and worms and now he's doing great. He and his half brother had a voracious appetite. Buzzy has always been big. He's somewhat over weight but he's been that way since he was a kitten. He's very muscular. He has the thickest back I've ever felt on a cat. To look at him, you'd never think he could move like lightning, but boy can he move that body! He can jump high and never gets tired of feathers on a stick, or a string. Outside, he loves to show off and run from tree to tree, racing up one, then down, and racing up another.
Other times he just likes to lie next to me.
He always knows when I go to bed. He comes from whereever he is as soon as I lay down to go to sleep. And he'll lie next to me, purring for a while. Then moves to a different spot after a several minutes.
Then, when he senses I'm waking up, he comes over to me again, purring.
He has the strangest voice. He doesn't meow. He "peeps". It's so sweet and funny.
He's pretty smart. If I wanted to spend a lot of time training him, I could teach him to do all kinds of different things.
I'll greet him outside and put my hand down, then he stands up on his hind feet and pushes against my hand with his head as I lean down and pet him head to tail. He's so sweet.
What would I do without my Buzzy? The silly, sweet boy.
