1). Rub olive oil on the surface of the Tri Tip
2). Sprinkle Pappy’s Seasoning or 50 % Less Salt Seasoning on both sides of the Tri Tip
3). Lightly oil the cooking grate on your grill. Place Tri-Tip on the grill fat side up for 5 minutes on direct heat and then grill the other side for 5 minutes.
4). Take Tri-Tip off direct heat and turn again.
5). Cook for another 45 minutes turning every 15 minutes or until internal temperature has reached 135 for rare, 155 for medium, and 165 for well done.
6). Take Tri-Tip off the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
7). Place Tri-Tip on cutting board. Find the grain on the surface of the Tri-Tip and slice against the grain.
