Bullying in Clovis Unified

Rebekah (my daughter age 14) wrote to Dr. Phil regarding the Bullying she has had to indure for the past several years. The schools seem unwilling or unable to correct this problem.
Dr. Phil's producers felt Rebekah's story compelling and sent a crew of 4 to our home in Clovis to tape she and I. We then went to Hollywood and filmed the show on the Paramount Lot with Dr. Phil and his son Jay. The show aired October 1st.
The subject of Bullying needs to be addressed as it is a big (and growing) problem. The schools need to put policies in place to protect our kids, or enforce the policies.
Kids should not have to be affraid to step on campus. When the Principal tells you "your daughter is a real target" you know your fear is warranted!

I was bullied for a long time from elementary to high school it left me with lots of mental disorders. this is so typical of Clovis schools. If you have money and are popular you can get away with anything its awful just awful.

This is what happens when parents no longer discipline their kids and the school has been stripped of their ability to effectively discipline their kids. What are the administrators to do when their #1 priority is avoiding lawsuits and not education?

my daughter was bullied by a boy at her school. we were told the law protects him and not her so they couldn't do anything for her except move her into another classroom. it makes me sick.
