New nine foot images created by igniting gunpowder on paper will be exhibited first at KJewel Gallery in Feb., then in the Warnor Window Project across the street, in March and April.
Robert Weibel has been developing and refining gunpowder drawing and printing for several yrs. He has been increasingly well received adding to presitigious collections nation wide. The process and mark making are unique. Weibel started this explosive process after seeing Cai Guo-Qiang's work in Wash, DC in 2003. Cai is the father of this unique process of contemporary artistic expression.

The "Winged Figure" shown is actually in a private collection. 10 gunpowder drawings, as well as the six large panels are in the process of installation at the grand lobby/gallery at KYNO/K-Jewel. Almost IN. so close...
