I am Frank Bonilla. I have been going to Courtright Reservoir, for the past 25 years. Courtright Reservoir is in Eastern Fresno County. The elevation of the water is around 8,125 feet.
The peaks, and domes around Courtright can rise up to above 10,000 feet.
Courtight Reservoir is strictly a summer lake, since it is under several feet of snow in the winter.
Madera County may have Yosemite, but Fresno County has Courtright. My friends and I call Courtright, "Gods Country".
Courtright Reservoir has fishing, backpacking, camping, hiking, rock climbing, and the Dusy-Ershim 4WD trail.
It is also a perfect spot for photography!
