My brave boy who loves his hospital!

I am writing this letter to tell you about someone very special to me, my son Soren Jacobsen. He is 6 years old. He has been battling leukemia for the past three years. We are looking forward to September 2010 his last day of chemotherapy. I am amazed by his strength and positive attitude. He understands his illness, never complains and is always willing to help out. He has done lots of volunteer work for what he calls, " his hospital". He has volunteered for the radio-thon, selling kid's day newspapers, and has even participated in a fashion show all of which he wanted to do himself to support Children's Hospital Central California. Just ask him if he wants to volunteer to help his hospital and he will not hesitate to say yes. Along with his willingness to volunteer, he has received honor roll and enjoys learning new things. I am honored to nominate him I feel that with all he has been through, he still feels that it's more important to put other people first. We are so grateful for Valley Children's Hospital and all they have done for our son. This would be an honor for him to participate in helping support his hospital. Thank you, Tricia Jacobsen

Thank you for kind words! When I first entered I had no idea this would be on here for everyone to read,but it was nice to find a comment with encouraging words from someone I never met. Thank you again! He is doing well thanks to CHCC.

What a great story. Good luck to your son, he sounds like a sweet caring boy. I can't imagine having to deal with such a horrible diagnosis at that age and still worrying about others. I am sure he will grow up to be very caring man.
