My 7 year old daughter is a very incredible kid. She is very caring and loves to help out in every way she can. At 5 years old she had seen a television show for little kids that were sick with cancer and had lost their hair. She felt so bad for them. So I explained to her about Locks of Love. She was so excited to donate her hair to another little kid. It was the shortest we had ever cut her hair and she loved it. So at 5 years old she made a donation of a 13 inch braid to locks of love. She was so proud of herself. When she started second grade in August of 2009 she really wanted to start with a short hair cut again, but said she would wait so her hair would be long enough to donate again. Now it is really long and she could probably donate another 13 inches. She is so excited and we are cutting in a couple weeks. I am so very proud of my daughter for making tiny sacrifices, like cutting her hair so she can help others in need.
