Furnas Creek 508

Eight members of the fresno cycling club (4-men, 4-women)have entered the Furnace Creek 508 taking place on October 6,7th. Tt is nicknamed "The toughest 48 hours in sports" because athletes have 48 hours to complete the race amid 90-100 degree temperatures and 35,000 feet of climbing, Townes Pass alone rises to 4,985 feet above sea level. It's a test of preparation, endurance and desire. Here, racers reach their limits then pedal on by.

This is a non stop 508-mile event that travels from Santa Clarita through Death Valley and the Majave Desert to Twentynine Palms. Over 220+ riders from around the world will be participating this year representing 12 countries and 23 US states.
