Hi! This is Barty, the Wonder Mutt. We rescued Bart in 2004 from the Clovis Animal Shelter. 30 people had looked at him but nobody was willing to take him due to his deformed legs and well, odd appearance. But with just one look, we fell in love and knew that he was a perfect fit for our family!
Barty is amazing sweet, calm, and obedient. He is a traveler, camper, boater, hiker and child watcher.
Everywhere we go people ask "What is he?" All we know is that he is part German Shepherd. His vet thinks maybe part long-haired dachshund. We are considering DNA testing just to end the mystery!
Barty is our wildebeest and we are so lucky to have him!
I will hold my treat on my nose until Mom says I can have it!
