On May 31, 2007 we welcomed a fourth addition to our family, Tommie Rose Trujillo, born 16 weeks prematurely weighing 1.6 lbs measuring the length of a ruler from head to toe.

Scared, is an understatement as to how we felt, the fear of her not surviving was the most awful feeling we had ever had. She was rushed to Children's Hospital in Madera and spent the first three months of her life there in the NICU unit. The first few days were crucial but our little miracle would not give up and continued to grow and grow. We were not sure if she would suffer any long lasting medical problems ,that would come with time. The doctors, nurses and staff are to say the least the most awesome people, they helped us understand what was taking place with our baby girl. If not for them I am not sure how we would have made it through those first few months. Tommie's progress was amazing, she continued to strengthen and grow. On August 26, 2007 we were able to take her home; she left being diagnosed with CLD (Chronic Lung Disease) and a list of things to do and not to do. It was sad to go; we were going to miss everyone but yet the happiest day of our lives

The first year at home was difficult we were advised not to take her out as her immune system was weak and the risk of her catching an illness was greater than that of a full term baby. A nurse came out monthly to monitor her and give her an injection to prevent RSV and she had an exceptional "teacher" from EPU (Exceptional Parents Unlimited) that would come out every week to track and help her development. She developed slowly at first but at around seven months Tommie blossomed and began to be very active, showing great signs of communicating and expression.

Her 1st birthday could not arrive quickly enough, she was still not walking, but we could take her out! Tommie continued to develop wonderfully, crawling, walking and talking; we could not be a prouder family. Tommie is now three and has been upgraded from CLD to Asthma; she has some sensory and motor skill issues but is in the process of working on those areas. She is amazing and has surpassed our and her doctors’ expectations. If you see her you would have no idea she was a preemie, she is our inspiration, our hero, our joy and the new meaning for us to appreciate life. She is so loved and touched by all those who she comes in contact with and can turn a bad day upside down. She is like a sponge and just so smart. She has spunk, an attitude and an answer for everything (so she thinks). We are so very proud to be her parents and thank the Lord everyday for her.

She is INCREDIBLE!!

My wonderful little 7 year old daughter Bridget Albay is such a delight. Being only 7 she has accomplished much that she has set her mind to. Since she was 4 years old she has been in dance, at 4 years old she took ballet/tap, at 5 ballet/tap and at 6 ballet/jazz. Pushing herself she has also accomplished many academic things in school. She in kindergarten got chosen for student of the month character counts "Responsible", and in first grade she got "Respect". Bridget was also one of six kids chosen from her school to represent her school for character counts at an award dinner. For that dinner she was chosen to recieve an award for "Citizenship". While being recognized in the paper for Citizenship her teacher Ms.Dias said "Bridget models excellent citizenship skills every day. Bridget consistently demonstrates the attributes of being a responsible, caring, and loving member of our Lincoln community."She also had got perfect attendence, not wanting to miss school even when she was a slight bit sick. She always wants to help out those who need it and is willing to be a friend to whomever. She is kind, caring, loving, smart, and wonderful daughter. My daughter makes me so proud to be her mother! She is my little princess and i think she is the most incredible kid! I love you Bridget <3

Sabrina is an incredible kid. She enjoys playing with her family and friends. She is her daddy's little girl, with a sweet innocent smile she can get him to do almost anything. She looks up to and copies all that her big brother does. She is a great upcoming athlete. She is willing to try anything, has a positive can do attitude, and is completely self- confident. She wants to give to others and does things to make others happy. She always wakes up on the right side of the bed. At the young age of the three, she is a big help around the house; she helps unload the dishwasher, dust, and vacuums. Sabrina makes up silly songs, loves to sing and dance. She says her prayers every night and reminds me if I forget. She is a good eater and always willing to try new foods. Sabrina knows how to make me smile and always there to give me hugs and kisses, these are just some of the reasons why Sabrina is an awesome toddler!

Tyson, is a soon-to-be ten month old boy. He is a bundle of non-stop energy whose smile is contagious. Tyson loves to spend time outdoors; whether it is going on a stroll to observe nature's beauty or playing with various animals, the boy simply loves the environment! He has already learned how to say "Dada," "Mama," and the ever so cute "Ut, oh" along with a few baby signs. Tyson likes to crawl around the house, pull himself onto the couch, and has learned how to take five to six unguided steps. Some other hobbies of Tyson's are swimming, listening to books, playing with bouncy balls, and rough housing with daddy. Tyson is an incredible, lovable, and friendly baby boy who is sure to brighten everyone's day!

My 7 year old daughter is a very incredible kid. She is very caring and loves to help out in every way she can. At 5 years old she had seen a television show for little kids that were sick with cancer and had lost their hair. She felt so bad for them. So I explained to her about Locks of Love. She was so excited to donate her hair to another little kid. It was the shortest we had ever cut her hair and she loved it. So at 5 years old she made a donation of a 13 inch braid to locks of love. She was so proud of herself. When she started second grade in August of 2009 she really wanted to start with a short hair cut again, but said she would wait so her hair would be long enough to donate again. Now it is really long and she could probably donate another 13 inches. She is so excited and we are cutting in a couple weeks. I am so very proud of my daughter for making tiny sacrifices, like cutting her hair so she can help others in need.

This picture was taken on December of 2008, just about one week after my youngest boy was born. Thankfully, my 6 years old boy, turning 7 on July 2010, was a very helpful young man. He eventually wanted to help me give care for his little brother while I was recovering from labor. He slept on the bed with baby and mommy, helped make bottles, throw the dirty diapers away, and he always wanted to hold his little brother. Joshua is a very brave boy who listens and is very cooperative in wanting to help watch and play with his little brother. In this family, there is me, my husband, and three boys named; Joshua, Jayden, and Jacob. Joshua has always been there for me and his younger brothers. I know he is a loving son and will always love his younger siblings.

My husband and I tried for over three years to have a child, with no success. I had begun to lose hope when I received a message in my heart saying I would have a little girl and it would happen before the year's end. That is exactly what happened. On December 23, 2004 Ashley joined our family. From the day she entered this would she has been a true gift from God.

Ashley loves swimming, playing sports, dancing, drawing, reading. I often find her dancing in room with her younger brother, Hunter. They are the best of friends. She will help and encourage him any chance she gets. For example, he is currently in the process of potty training and when he had a successful trip to the the restroom she was the first to give him a hug and kiss and tell him, "Good job, Hunter. Now your're a big boy!"

She spent the past year in preschool and the teachers said what they would miss most is how she always stepped up to help the other kids.

Her patience and care for helping others has also shown itself in other ways. I have lost count of the times I have seen tears in her eyes over a "sad" song or an emotional part of a movie. It makes my heart smile to see how much a five year old cares about others.

But, believe me, she isn't all tears and emotions. She loves to have fun. One of our favorite things to do together is sing and dance. We will turn on a Disney CD and spend hours pretending we are on stage dancing, singing and mostly laughing.

I don't expect you to adore her the way I do, I just thank you for allowing me to talk about this little girl who is a blessing in all the lives she touches, expecially mine.
